My best advice when it comes to weight loss and changing your body is to focus
on adding
more nutritious, whole
foods in and crowding out the
processed / less nutritious
foods... so, in that case, yes, this would help you lose weight, but it's not a quick fix.
For now, though, we're going to focus
on just one of the
more common descriptive terms that you're likely to see not just
on your protein but in just about every

I get it that JO has brought
more attention to the school
food issue, but it is so often the wrong kind of attention, the kind that seeks to blame those lowest
on the
food chain — the cafeteria ladies, the local schools, the local nutrition director — for problems which are coming from the top — the criminally low Federal funding that forces schools to rely
on cheap
processed food; the thicket of government regulation which must be followed no matter how senseless, and hoops which must be jumped through to get the pitifully low reimbursement; the lack of ongoing Federal funds to pay for equipment repair or kitchen renovation, forcing schools to rely
on preprocessed
food instead of scratch cooking, unless they can pass the hat locally to pay for a central kitchen to cook fresh meals.
As I said earlier, moving
on from puree to
more textured
food can be a bit of a scary and confusing
process.
That's the main reason why I still have some concerns about the
food in my own district which, though it's working hard to cook
more meal components from scratch, still relies
on processed food manufacturers for many of the items served.
The DC school district's position directly pits Chartwell's business interests against the rights of DC parents to know if (a) their school district is being unlawfully denied funds to which it is entitled and (b) if huge
food manufacturers are wielding undue influence over the FSMC, resulting in that much
more processed, sugary
foods on school lunch trays.

more people would take time to watch documentaries like
Food Inc. and Earthlings and wake up and realize what horrific and unsanitary practices are going
on in beef, pork and poultry
processing facilities here in the United States.
Rather than going
on a «diet,» try to eat natural, healthy
foods more often than not, and eliminate all the white sugar and
processed food from your diet as you possibly can.
