To make the icing, stir the icing sugar, orange juice and melted butter together in a saucepan over a very gentle heat, adding a
little more orange juice if needed.
With motor running, gradually stream in 3/4 cup hot (but not boiling) water; blend, adding
more orange juice as needed, until smooth and creamy.
Whisk powdered sugar, orange juice, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl, adding
more orange juice by the teaspoonful as needed, until icing is very thick and smooth and falls back onto itself in a slowly dissolving ribbon.
I made it as it is (replacing the alcohol with
more orange juice cos I do not have alcohol lying about nor do I drink it, and brewed strong tea), but halved it for a 9 inch cake pan (so I used 1 egg and 1 egg yolk).
I made the recipe as stated, but the ingredients did not cover the blade assembly in my Vitamix so I had to add a
bit more orange juice.
They need to remain coated in the liquid in order to caramelize, so add
more orange juice if the pan is drying out.
Googled this recipie because it had more baking powder than usual so I wanted to double check before making the cake... Reead the 2 reviews... I added a little
more orange juice as one review suggested... (Note: adding more orange juice ruined the consistency... Cake wouldn't bake properly.)

• If you want to thin out the peanut sauce more to make it a drizzle, you can add a little water or
some more orange juice until it reaches the consistency you'd like.
You can add
more orange juice, or a splash of non-dairy milk to make a thinner consistency.
