more relaxing as there is no need to create anything from scratch and the ability to follow a pattern and template removes some of the need for active thought.
I've had
more than a few goofs on this
project already, it has LOTS of
paint on it, lol, but it is finally right, and i really don't want to have to «fix» it again if it «shines up» too much... HELP, it looks great, but I'm about ready to scrap the whole
project if I can't find a way to seal it properly.

painting, hammering, organizing, and finishing up
projects this week.
And that's not all, there are lots of ways you could vary this
project to make scarves with a completely different look using the same
paint — for example, you could try dragging the brush strokes all the way across the width of the scarf to create uneven stripes (like this beauty by Kate Spade) or you could wet your scarf first to make the
paint bleed for
more of a watercolour look.

project, wet a brush with a liquid waterproofer (which makes regular old shadows, liners, and glitters steadfast), dip it in loose glitter, and then
paint your lids.
Perfectly clean... no
more caked edges and micro-dots of

BTW — I do love all the chalk
paint projects I'm seeing and wanted to give it a try but the
more I read about it, the
more I'm thinking it is less expensive and easier to stick with my old method??

project, so when I told them we needed to
paint that red wall, hang pictures and get the place organized, they were super excited and
more than happy to help.
Using chalk
paint instead of regular latex
paint made the
project even
more quick and easy!
