As you level and explore you'll gain App points that allow you to unlock more options in battle and in fusions,
more skill slots, increases in strength to your demons, and general passives.
Enemies can drop variations of these weapons with different passive skills, such as a higher chance to drop a weapon with
more skill slots, dealing extra elemental damage, or dealing extra damage with a specific combo.

The aggravating part is that you'll learn far
more skills and attacks than you can possibly equip — and learning a new
skill when all your
skill slots are full means you have to forget an old
skill.
Once in High Rank, the gear opens up
more with every set offering two variants: one with a predetermined amount of
skills and the other offering a couple of less
skills but also gem
slots to
slot in your own
skills.
There'll be Claptrap variants of all the usual enemies too, along with new bosses, ten new
skill points, and three
more backpack
slots.
The build is much
more offensive in nature because of the Chrome Slicer II Sword and Shield (augmented with an extra
slot)-- the best sleep sword in my opinion... Courtesy of the
skill free element which «awakens» the status effect.
Each character has seven
skill slots that you can assign various abilities to — as you level up, you'll learn way
more than that, so you'll need to pick and choose — and an eighth
slot dedicated to their specific Defend ability.
You start out only able to equip two different
skills, but as the game progresses you can opt to add
more slots via the upgrade tree, and between rounds you can swap out
skills in order to alter your approach if things aren't going well.
You start out with three
slots, and gain
more through the Licence board, which is essentially your
skill tree.

skills: Since the number of qualified applicants are typically many times greater than interview
slots, your search strategy has a greater impact of getting your resume to be seen... even
more than your
skills
