LG opted out with a very few other tablet manufacturers to await the release of
the more tablet specific version of Android, aka Honeycomb.
More so on the back of an earlier report that had surfaced back in September and had pointed out to HTC actually awaiting the release of
the more tablet specific version of Android to proceed with their tablet plans.

In fact, its the Honeycomb factor, the first Android
version to be designed exclusively for
tablet like devices that is making things so much
more interesting after witnessing a deluge of
tablet launches based on earlier iterations of the Android that were all smartphone
specific.
Both the figures have been doing the rounds as the Ice Cream
version would be an amalgamation of sorts of Android Honeycomb that is
tablet specific and Android Gingerbread that is meant for use
more in a smartphone.
More so since by that time Google will have its
tablet specific version of Android, the Gingerbread, up and running.

Quickly, we learned Gingerbread would be
more of an incremental upgrade to lay down the framework for everything that the
tablet specific version of Android — now affectionately known as Honeycomb — would be.
