SI's Pete Thamel said Hammann was the one who suggested to Brian Kelly that he spend
more time around the players.
Not exact matches
I think that this
time around, people are much
more upset, they're angry, they feel they're being taken hostage by the league and
players, and that's not good at all.
Giroud misses
more than he hits, Walcott has NEVER delivered his expected talent, Welbeck will NEVER be the striker to score 20 goals a season Coqellin will NOT go a whole season injury or suspension free, Sanchez and Ozil WILL have down period during the season, all teams have these problems to a greater or lesser degree but most of the top teams will address these problems and
players either inprove or are sold and replaced with better or at least
more consistant
players, NOT Wenger he keeps doing the same thing over and over with the same
players and he expects a different result but gets the same outvome
time and
time again, yet its ALWAYS someone else's fault be it the Ref or the linesman or the opposition or bad luck or whatever and whoever and its NEVER the fact that HE has done nothing to change the situation and LOOKS LIKELY to not change it next
time around.
Hazard is their most dangerous
player and I think they can get found out
more this
time around while trying to juggle UCL football with the tough EPL.
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring
players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders
around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even
more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his
time at Arsenal are the
players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
Arsenal have now started the short run of pre-season games in preparation for the tough start to a crucial Premier League season in which the pressure on Arsene Wenger and the
players to mount a serious title challenge is greater than ever after blowing what appeared to be a golden chance last
time around and with the gap since our last successful campaign now
more than 12 years.
If I had
more time, I'd certainly poke
around at other
players on other teams as well.
Aubameyang is definitely better than giroud, and for those who do not watch the bundesliga, he's not all about speed, he's quite an intelligent
player who is always at the right place at the right
time, he's also good with both feet and in the air.But the problem with most Arsenal fans is that they are
more interested in the NAME rather than the
player. That's why you see people floating names like higuain, benzema and cavani
around.
Yes he looks better when the defence and DM
players are
more organised
around him but there will be
times when we are chasing games and need to push men forward.
Gwin its simple his bosses are not pleased with him this season and if he fails next season his sacked, other clubs are not like arsenal you don't get
time on top and yes they will spend probably
around 300M, City needs to change
more players then Arsenal in the near future and as we all know new
players need to settle and some fail, that's why they are trying to steal EPL
players who already conditioned, if they fail to attract the likes of Sanchez and some spud
players he could have problems next season,
Besides several teams who have questions surrounding one or possibly two
players, there is no squad that has so many issues heading into the final week of the transfer window... even Monaco, who have lost numerous
players from their starting 11 have less controversy swirling in and
around their club and they have champion's league play to contend with this season... just think of how ridiculous this situation is especially considering that we have had the same manager for over 20 years... no team should be better organized than ours... if nothing else, that should be the one advantage this team holds over all others, yet the exact opposite has occurred... this fact is even
more disturbing considering the main argument against removing Wenger from his managerial position was that there was no suitable replacement and that people feared some sort of perceived drop - off if a new manager was brought into the mix... based on what we've witnessed since the
time of his contract renewal a monkey with a magic eight ball could have done an adequate job... I hate to make jokes, in light of our current dilemma, but this team is so screwed up if I don't laugh about it, the only plausible response is to either cry or do something incredibly destructive... just look
around this squad and try to see what our delusional manager sees that allow him to make such positive statements about our current team
Up front we have a few world - class
players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished
player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been
more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the
players and system
around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both of these
players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch
players, which should be the baseline test for any
player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of
time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even
more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make
more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every
time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
this debate is embarrassing guys I want wenger out I believe his
time is up but not now its our
time as the fans to rally the boys lets gve the boys heart I don't like how us fans r showing our discontent if I was
around wenger we could've already brawled but now
more than ever the
players need us... sacking someone now is out of the equation it will spell all doom and we might miss out top four coz as it is the
players r down....
He hardly lie if psg want him it's good sign he's rated simple as that and let's be fair he's cracking manager he had just ran out ideas now people are saying wenger not good manager grow up there's a lot
more to wat is going on behind scenes while I do think he should have left last summer or before he didn't because he really believes he can turn it
around but sadly he can't I'd love if he did we all would if da invincibles man keep bk for just one good season we would all be in heaven we prop cry if wenger won us league again but please don't say he can't manage haha stop he's top manager he has just lost
players and when he leaves truth will cum out but before anyone thumbs me down it's
time for great man step down with dignity and class it really is and go get younger manager up coming class act we need
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the
more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a
more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong
times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and
around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many
times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at
times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross
around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Not at all. Most who want Wenger out recognise quite clearly the job thenewManager has is not easy.Wenger has allowed complete apathy to set in
around the whole club so whoever is appointed will have work to do before we can even dream of being title contenders. You come across as a very typical Wenger lover who knows his
time is up and is almost wanting the new Manager to fail.Guess what? The fanbase are not easily fooled but will accept a transition as long as we progress. We still have the core of very very good
players who are
more than capable of being competitive in this league and with the right additions we can be a force. But we need a Manager who MANAGES AND COACHES THE TEAM.This is clearly beyond Wenger and has been for too long now.It is quite clearly shown by our current league position of SIXTH.And yet you still continue to accept this. The Club needs to raise its expectation levels or else even mediocrity will be beyond us.
Our
players just seem to run
around, they lose their shape all the
time, turn off defensively
more times than I can remember and generally are completely disorganised.
Henrys and Vieiras contract negotiations were a huge stress every
time they came
around, much
more stressful than Theos because the fear of losing those
players was unimaginable..
Over the years
more than 50,000 soccer
players from the U. S. and
around the world have come to Two Rivers with a purpose — to improve their soccer skills and to have a great
time.
You are the only one who doesn't give Coquelin the credit that is going
around even Wenger praises him as do other professionals.Look this is not about Coquelin this is about your coments on
players age that you say at 20 are not in the same league as any at 25 bull shit, Fabragas Rooney Wiltshire Bellerin Ashely cole even Welbeck at United are class
players at under 21You think that a
player only matures at 25 or older you have no idea on a
players ability, you just come out with this bull shit to make out you know about
players.Well let's see as you say at end of season who has
more knowledge on a
player to make the big
time CB
This
time around we have been drawn at home, and appear to take the competition a little
more serious in recent years, although you would still expect to see a number of inexperienced
players fielded.
The German international moved to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2013 but started just 20 of the club's Bundesliga fixtures in his debut season and though his playing
time increased in 2014/15 it appears those
around the
player feel he should be playing a
more prominent role at the club.
In all fairness though we are five games in with the transfer window just over and we're already short of defensive minded
players, it's great being positive but for a lot of fans whatever wenger does now it'll never be right, about two years ago for ever negative wenger comment there were five positive now that is the opposite.i'm a season ticket holder and I pay a small fortune watching us home and away, I was
more than willing to give arsene
time to turn it
around, to build another team, but honestly I am sick of it, # 8million a year to hear the same of excuses.
players like Ozil always present the fans with a bit of a conundrum, especially when
times are tough... if you look
around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a
player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the
player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out of them visa vie
player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with
players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best of these
players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared
more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind of
players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and
more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much of his
time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled
player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled
player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
With a stronger Ozil, and all our injured
players back, we can really look forward to a much
more succesful season next
time around, but first off all we have to finish this season strongly to give us extra confidence for the next campaign....
The mercurial German hasn't always put in the necessary shift and deserves the criticism at
times but imo he is
more often the scapegoat for Kroenke, Ivan and Gadzis failing miserably to build a team of WC
players around him.
Arsenal were the best of the rest last
time around but that does not mean that we are confident of winning it if we finish above the Foxes this
time but one way Arsene Wenger could make that a lot
more likely is to sign one of their best
players.
Although it will be incredibly difficult to ever match his contributions on the pitch, it's vitally important for a former club legend, like Henry, to publicly address his concerns regarding the direction of this club... regardless of those who still feel that Henry has some sort of agenda due to the backlash he received following earlier comments he made on air regarding Arsenal, he has an intimate understanding of the game, he knows the fans are being hosed and he feels some sense of obligation, both professionally and personally, to tell it like he sees it... much like I've continually expressed over the last couple months, this team isn't evolving under this current ownership / management team... instead we are currently experiencing a «stagnant» phase in our club's storied history... a fact that can't be hidden by simply changing the formation or bringing in one or two individuals... this team needs fundamental change in the way it conducts business both on and off the pitch or it will continue to slowly devolve into a second tier club... regardless of the euphoria surrounding our escape act on Friday evening, as it stands, this club is
more likely to be fighting for a Europa League spot for the foreseeable future than a top 4 finish... we can't hope for the failures of others to secure our place in the top 4, we need to be the manufacturers of our own success by doing whatever is necessary to evolve as an organization... if Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke can't take the necessary steps following the debacle they manufactured last season, their removal is imperative for our future success... unfortunately, I strongly believe that either they don't know how to proceed in the present economic climate or they are unwilling to do whatever it takes to turn this ship
around... just look at the current state of our squad, none of our world class
players are under contract beyond this season, we have a ridiculous wage bill considering the results, we can't sell our deadwood because we've mismanaged our personnel decisions and contractual obligations, we haven't properly cultivated our younger talent and we might have become one of the worst clubs ever when it comes to way we handle our transfer business, which under Dein was one of our greatest assets... it's
time to get things right!!!
It's going to be a long summer for the Padres, but as long as
players like Rea progress and they are able to trade some of their key veterans for
more pieces of the future by the
time the trade deadline rolls
around, the 2016 season can still be a success.
I started googling way back in may who could we be buying gonzalo higuian, julio cesar and wayne rooney but realize going by history wenger just as no interest in buying world class
players, he wants 2 buy d grade
players and turn them up to koscienly nd nasri that will take years while da arsenal faithful pay handsome figures for dismal performances, fans allowed wenger 2 get away when he gets away with these lucky matches of fenerbache been strong on paper but a waste of tym on the pitch, also it happen at bayern but they put a slighty weak team but wenger runt his mouth
around of how good da team was after that 2 - 0 win, not forgetting it was bould that got the team defense looking solid while wenger moan about referee decisions and no blame on team, I just feel we (arsenal) have allowed wenger and co to misuse us, so now our main target aim is benzema yet giroud plays
more often than him for france, can any1 see how wenger is lowing our standards and expectations at arsenal, I wil be over da moon if wenger does not sign an extension wit us, after the gilberto days and disaterous results and teams we play, his approach to the game defensely which is pathetic and his annoying behaviour. So what if manu and chelski haven't really bought they are already strong it was seen last week now we should be worried about our selves since that villa defeat, jst imagine what the man's and london money maniac's are goin 2 do to us, I can see it already coming from wenger, if we find the right
player we will buy him, after sept2, we didn't find da right
player but the squad can challenge for the title, its so sick having 2 hear that crap, just take him psg, I just wish the fans would say we had enough of this bullshit transfer policies its
time we stood up against these pigs of directors by protesting!
A fee of
around # 133million has been quoted for the potential transfer but in recent

Chambers in particular has to do much better this

more than a mere squad

Back in February it was revealed that Oscar had turned down the chance to move to Jiangsu Suning — the same Chinese Super League club who signed former Chelsea teammate Ramires for
more than # 20m in January — in a deal worth # 57m, but the
player's reluctance to move has not deterred Shanghai SIPG this
time around.

As with the previous Harry Potter LEGO game,
players have access to a collection of spells, though this
time around the game seems to lean a bit
more heavily on potions.
Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen is regrettably saddled with a boring subplot this
time around, but Season One background
players Alfie Allen and Richard Madden are given much
more to do, and the show is ultimately better for it.
The

By its end, Coven was almost singlehandedly held up by Lange and co-star Angela Bassett, with not nearly enough of Lily Rabe's Stevie Nicks fangirl, but she yields much

A lot
more is expected of the

time around, though.
And Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman are all great and get goodly amounts of screen

more to do than the first go

That said, the game does seem to be designed

This

more simple though; you're going to be taking part in one - on - one fights, this
time around.
I would like to think that our two organizations can be key
players in facilitating a
more progressive, democratic, and caring education for young children, at a

While the game might be too cutscene - heavy for some
players it uses this to create a cash of fleshed out characters who are almost all fantastically acted and written, and who are often
more than meets the eye, revealing new aspects of their personality as you spend
time around them.
This
time around several of the maps feel
more restrictive than normal for the series, often funneling
players into tight chokepoints, resulting in something that feels closer to a twitch shooter s, again almost mimicking Call of Duty at
times.
With two
players vying for political influence isn't varied enough since of course you're going to increase your scoring potential and slap down the other
player, but with extra people
around the table there's a lot
more fun in deciding how to shift the cubes, especially as
players begin to invest
time in other projects as well, deliberately leaping onto the same track as you in order to benefit from your hard work.
Due to the amount of gadgets on offer that allow you to jump really high or cover the entire map in just a few seconds, the gameplay is pretty quick, favoring a
