Everywhere I look I find that I need to
do more weight training instead of cardio... which I don't REALLY want to do.
In addition to yoga and barre, Dunlop now
does more weight training and completes multiple rounds of HIIT and strength workouts each week.
Men tend to do
more weight training, which is good because more muscle means a higher metabolism which means you'll be burning more fat 24/7, helping you to get to or stay at a healthy weight.
Co-host: Something else I've noticed since I started to do
more weight training is that it also boosts your confidence.
If you are strength training regularly, adding in
more weight training or running can lead to burnout, breakdowns, and injuries.
Instead of miles and miles even endurance training is shifting to include more intervals,
more weight training, and less overall miles.
I find that I want to try to do
more weight training to lose more weight but I hold myself back because I don't know what will bother me the next day / week.
