Returns of individual stocks in the portfolio followed the typical pattern for successful quarters —
more winners than losers, and gains of greater magnitude than losses.
Dale: If you compare investments to cash in a mattress, then there can be
more winners than losers, but if active investors compare their returns to a passive index, then they can not, as a group, outperform.
If these tips are strictly followed I am sure there will be
more winners than losers.
