classroom management, assessment and data literacy, and differentiation or special education techniques.17
Over the past 20 years, thousands
of recent college graduates have taught for two years in some
of the
most challenging classrooms in hopes
of helping close the achievement gap.
More than 90 percent
of schools report that they need to make significant technological upgrades in the next three years; only 10 percent
of schools do not expect to face any
challenges at all (Figure 1).4 Statewide, 27 percent
of schools cited a high - density wireless network — which can connect a large concentration
of students and
classrooms wirelessly — as the
