It's certainly not the perfect option for that, having been subject to all sorts of criticism from its treatment of race relations to its arguable redemption arc for arguably
its most despicable character to its stereotypical look at small town America (a movie made by an Irish director about the flaws of America seems like it could get an extra boost from a voting body like the HFPA).

despicable and unsympathetic, but there is something emotionally honest and somewhat purposeful that develops out of the
most unlikely of friendships between Yelchin
Those two film - makers were experts at getting the audience onside with the
most despicable of
characters, a skill alien to Miller.

Bruce Dern (Coming Home, The «burbs) gives us another memorable crackpot performance, except in this one, he is sympathetically portrayed, and even though he commits some acts that

character with enough vulnerability to make it work.
I vaguely conveyed there was a book called just «Heidi», but was too tired to clearly explain the main
character in that one wasn't the daughter of the
most despicable man in history.
