The Main
Cabin is for travelers flying on
most economy class fares.
British Airways will show at
most three
cabin classes, but some carriers have four (there may be a separate premium
economy).
Under this type of program, Cathay would only award status - earning points to travellers who purchase premium
cabin seats or the
most expensive
economy class seats (which are often just as expensive as the cheapest premium
cabin seats).
There's no extra seat width (on
most aircraft), no special catering options and nothing to divide MCE from the
Economy Class cabin.

Economy Class cabins earning elite qualifying miles on American's partners has never been harder — the cheapest fares on

While the headline - grabbing upgrades to the 777 - 200's are in the Business

That's it for the amenities list and, to be fair, that's just about all you get in
most transatlantic
Economy Class cabins.
I think we all know what to expect from the Business
Class and
Economy Class cabins so it's the Premium
Economy cabin that is the
most interesting.
The Air Tahiti Nui 787 Dreamliner has an
Economy Class cabin with a 3 -3-3
cabin layout and will offer seats with just 31 ″ of seat pitch and, based on other Dreamliners with the same configuration, at
most 17.5 ″ of seat width.
Most people don't pay (or have an employer that pays) for premium
cabin travel and this means that whatever miles you collect from your flights will be at
Economy Class rates of collection....
Business
Class takes up
most of the upper deck with a small
Economy Class cabin in the back (some have the entire upper deck as Business).
The third key lesson in redeeming Avios is to avoid travel in premium
cabins, which is why
