As in the film, he contracts her for a week, but it's first and foremost as a fuck - buddy — the dinner and socializing are secondary, and if she isn't as good at that sort of thing as most of the girls he «hires,» he figures he's getting her at a fraction of their asking price, anyway.

Nebraska will likely be remembered more for Bruce Dern's strong performance at the heart of the film than it will be for most other respects, though it isn't the sort of must - see turn that will garner popular interest outside of Awards committees and longtime Dern fans.
