In England they need to make it slightly easier to get a work permit to play in the EPL,
most of the best strikers are from South America but we are not able to sign talented South American strikers like they do in Spain or other parts of Europe due to the fact that there will be work permit issues!
Not exact matches
Giroud misses more than he hits, Walcott has NEVER delivered his expected talent, Welbeck will NEVER be the
striker to score 20 goals a season Coqellin will NOT go a whole season injury or suspension free, Sanchez and Ozil WILL have down period during the season, all teams have these problems to a greater or lesser degree but
most of the top teams will address these problems and players either inprove or are sold and replaced with
better or at least more consistant players, NOT Wenger he keeps doing the same thing over and over with the same players and he expects a different result but gets the same outvome time and time again, yet its ALWAYS someone else's fault be it the Ref or the linesman or the opposition or bad luck or whatever and whoever and its NEVER the fact that HE has done nothing to change the situation and LOOKS LIKELY to not change it next time around.
Its seems to me that both the club and it's fans are not serious.Anytime Arsenal sign a youngster from another team who is dubbed the next whatever people come out and say Arsenal have just signed a youngster who may or may not make it and that Arsene should sign ready made. They say it to seem as if it's a bad thing. Now that Chris Willock is leaving I'm anticipating that a lot
of people are soon going to be blaming the same Wenger who actually likes bringing in youngsters.Anyway you have to look at the reasons he lfet. It's for game time and to him he thinks its a
good choice. The bright side is that he's not Arsenal's
most talented player.The likes
of Donyell Malen, Yassin Fortune, Reiss Nelson in my eyes have more potential as wingers.I also think Arsenal should be very excited about Eddie Nketiah and Stephy Mavididi. They can be world class
strikers in the future particularly Eddie.
Well there are lots
of Arsenal transfer rumours suggesting that the World Cup winning
striker is set to leave the Emirates before thew summer transfer window closes and the club
most likely to take him was the Italian champions Juventus.
I think Giroud is one
of the games
best plan B
strikers honestly, he's a terrific alternative to have and would get into
most teams in Europe for that specific function.
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done
well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than
good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot.
Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not
good enough.His style
of play is ok for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very
well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront
of goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for
most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
Walcott just backtrack from his wish
of playing as central
striker Confidence is one the
most important trait for a
good striker.
few weeks back there was an article on here about injured players coming back and helping at the tail end
of the season; the article was big on Wilshire and I commented saying Welbeck will be the one I will
most look out or because he offers us something different upfront, either as a
striker or on the wings, I also said Wilshire does not register on my radar not because he os not
good but simply because we have
better players in his role and he has not been missed one jot....
my only hope is wenger to buy kanté
of leicester.this guy is a beast at dm position with a
good technical and physical quality.with him and coq in midfield against barca we can hope for anything special to happen.with finally olivier giroud slowly becoming WC
striker, walcott
most efficient and campbell who is a revelation this season, the return
of alexis we can be dangerous against any defence.our only weak position is a dm position and wenger won't have any excuz this mercato bcoz there are players available that we can buy if we want.plz wenger go for at least one
of this: kanté, wanyama, w.carvalho, l.bender, krychowiak, biglia, neves, l.gustavo, rabiot... if we try to sign s.roberto he will be a
good addition with great quality.gunner for life!!!
If Wenger does finally take the plunge and augment the likes
of Walcott — who to my mind is over paid and over valued, when in actuality he does more harm than
good most of the time — with a new
striker, how much will he spend?
his goal scoring record speaks for it self but would be
better if we got him for cheaper price like closer to # 20 million, could be bargain for 2 - 3 years
of shed - load
of goals probably the
most flamboyant
of all the
strikers we could be approaching this summer, has got a right nose for the back
of the net and scores from every angle under the sun with both feet, and he would be a great stopgap until akpom comes
good in 2 years time.
Another reason to start with the big Frenchman is to make the
most of the confidence our
striker will have gained with his performance and
well taken goal for France last week.
Yes he could be alot
better at finishing, but let's see, maybe we got a new sturridge... What I am mad on Wenger about is not so much the lack
of a proven
striker to our ranks... No it's that we haven't bought a central defender to cover, but
most important, we haven't bought a defensive midfielder, that we need so much!!? Wenger makes the same mistakes over and over, everybody else can see it, just not him... hmm: / but still lets respect him as a man and judge when we are atleast half way into the season... COYG!!!!
Even if Wenger thinks there is no
better striker available than Giroud (Only wenger knows why), still he needs to buy a
striker as Welbeck is almost certainly out
of most of next season, I am sure he would not go for Walcott and Akpon as our backup
striker.Hopefully
Ozil is a fraud for the hype he gets... We need another creative player as we can no longer have carzola
most of the times ND clearly ozil is
better of a supporting
striker nt a playmaker.
He will be on a lot
of top clubs radar,
most top clubs want a really
good young
striker with potential but none have snapped him up, only an offer
of # 14 $ from Tottenham.
The only regret is we have lost a
good chant for a
striker who was / is never prolific and went through too many barren spells with his goal scoring. While the Chavs put more and
better crosses into the box (yes take note Bellerin) Giroud has no pace to get on the end
of most of them.No great loss as far as I'm concerned and
good money for a bench player at
best
i think its
most important that from so many chances created and only a few is scored, we have such a creative team why shouldn't we have equally a
good striker to put some more
of those chances back
of the net and in return win more games
That is the problem, he is not
good enough to be our 1st choice
striker in
most of our opinion but in his opinion too
good to be 2nd choice.
«In
most of the games we had 70 percent possession, but that makes it difficult for the
strikers because there is less room and less freedom as
well as
most of the time people play with central defenders.
The continual experiment
of Cazorla on the left side
of the pitch
most be stopped, play him behind the
striker and let him do his thing, he should have been building his confidence back while Ozil was out in that position, if you (wenger) wants jack to play so much, let him play behind giroud and bench cazorla, but this experiment must stop allow, Campbell, ox or Gnabry to show themselves in that position, even RYO and COQ would do a much
better job on the left side
of the park.
-- Sanchez missed some
good chances, but the guy is a beast, and nice to see players put in that effort every game, and he creates openings for himself and others — Giroud is a great
striker, but
most of his goals are 1 - touch finishes.
He already say's that he feels he never got a proper chance in England, and I'd say he's probably the
best of the
most gettable
strikers around.
But Watched him quite a lot over the last 2 seasons, played mostly on the right wing last season when they had Lewandowski but he's moved into the
striker position and done really
well despite Dortmund playing pretty poorly
most of this season.
The former Newcastle and Chelsea
striker was definitely up for it, although young Calum Chambers handled him
well for
most of the first half, right until a slip allowed Ba a great chance which he screwed wide just before the break.
It's not even Bradley or Altidore - I can stomach them as Altidore
most likely has a role to play as our 3rd
striker in 2022, and even as someone who has been critical
of Bradley's past six or so years in a U.S jersey, he's
better than Wil Trapp.
By far the
best article I have ever read on this site, there was no bias or empty statements, just cold hard facts, the writer even respected wengers budget but still pointed to where he should've improved, there are no excuses, what you read is literrally all u get with arsene, if you gave him a budget
of 9m or 1 billion, he will ALWAYS take the risk cause he doesn't give a fk about the consequences as if he was a teenager raging through puberty, his stubborn is absolutely pathetic, can you believe he turned down signing a keeper when almunia was shocking, can you believe he didn't sign a CB when squillaci was awful, can you believe that he REFUSED to sign a CDM for almost 8 years, CAN you believe on one
of the
most important transfer windows
of arsenals history, arsene decided to go host charity matches in rome, that's right instead
of trying hard for the fans that have respected him and pay him one
of the highest managerial wages in the world, he decided to do what he pleased as usual, cause he doesn't answer to anyone, nor does he giving a flying fk, gazidis a man i thought was also a crook went and did arsene's job for him and at least got us a
striker (which cost us the title in january last season) and arsene foolishly proclaims that «if i was here we wouldn't
of signed danny» meaning we wouldn't
of had ANY recognised cf till giroud recovered, arsene wenger is a joke
of the highest order, lack
of respect, lack
of shame and lack order, i despise him
If wenger gets another
striker out
of this it is
most likely going to be someone not as
good as giroud, probably vucinic.
True that, we can't swap our
most hardworking lethal and
best striker we have with a lazy slow judas type
of player.
It's just that it's the
most vital elements (Composure, Finishing, First - touch) for
striker that seem to get the
better of him.
Unfortunately Wenger did not address the
most pressing issue
of getting a
good quality
striker cover for Giroud, but chose to sign an unproven youngster in Yaya Sanogo.
Mistamonn
most of the time his playing players out
of position is because we don't have the necessary depth
of players for each position specially on the left, the team is always out
of balance he rely needs to buy W / C if not top players in key positions, last year i was commenting that we needed a
striker before a class DM but i was so wrong, we first need the
best DM that money can buy no mater how much then and only then we can look for another class DM and a couple
of descent defenders.
Giroud has done
better than
most «available
strikers» and in a harder league in terms
of goals.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the
most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or
most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack
of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as
good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are
good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real
striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at
best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
I prefer ox to be honest, let's not forget tho walcotts not the first man not to have a sniff against Chelsea, against weaker opposition Walcott will be very
good with the balls in behind but I think
most agree we need a
striker who is strong and fast not just one
of the attributes our current
strikers possess, if ox stays fit and we sign and
striker Walcott will be a top super sub
Haha and a new stadium as
well too, with lots
of car parks, sorry mate our midfield is
well loaded barring any major injuries which
of course as we know will
most definetely happen, all we need is a world class
striker (Admin * Cough - article *), centre back, maybe a winger and handle the two other positions which are not that neccesary but could be useful for rotation like the ospina back up position and getting an extra midfielder in Ngolo Kante I love his simplicity and his mobility much much much
better upgrade to flamini
Well that's your opinion.I for one think Giroud is one
of the
most average
strikers to ever play for Arsenal.I would be vindicated by their performances this season.Do you think any top team apart from Arsenal will take Lukaku and Morata over Giroud?I don't see what's so
good about him.All he does is turn his back away from goal and hopes a fhance comes his way to score. There's nothing special about Giroud.
There was a lot
of speculation about whether the Swedish
striker would thrive in the English Premier League this season, with his age and supposed lack
of mobility as
well as the need to adapt to a different style
of football all brought up as possible obstacles, but I think
most Arsenal fans will have to agree that the 35 - year old has answered his critics emphatically.
Some think he's horrible, a lot
of fans, myself included think there are
better strikers out there, but I think the majority opinion is that he's a
good striker, not a great one, with a limited skillset and is relatively efficient at getting the
most from that skillset both for himself and the team.
That
of course however is because all
of the other
strikers we are linked with are
most definitely
better than Asano, and if Arsenal were to sign this Japanese star, he must be a long term investment rather than having the weight on his shoulders as a regular in Arsenal's first team.
Most of our players are already returning, Ramsey is back with Sanchez, Ozil will be back on Monday, we are still in the market for a CB and a
striker / forward, am optimistic we will get
good signings... am so excited coyg!
Most of us including myself got our vision clouded by the signings
of Sanchez, Debuchy and Chambers but it so clear now more than ever that we need a
good striker and another player like Chambers who can play CDM / CB.
This is one
of the
best and
most consistent
strikers in the Premier League and he would certainly be appreciated at Arsenal.
We were playing quite
well in a few games earlier this season, as I remember it
most of these games included a speedy attack with Iwobi, Ozil and Walcott playing behind a free roaming Sanchez as central
striker.
Spending money to sign Arda Turan will be a waste
of money. To me he's world class but he's not what we need at the moment. The
most important thing we need in our squad is a new
striker and Turan ain't that. It's just gonna be a waste
of resources.I really hope Arsene Wenger spends the money he has on a
better striker than Lacazette. He might be
good but for that amount I think we should be able to get
better.
one
of the
best defenders in serie A... will scare
most moronic
strikers like Costa (will giv me much pleasure)
Its already been reported that Akpom won't be going out on loan this season,
well... at least until January and even though
most fans are judging this young
striker based on his Hull loan form, you seem to forget that Hull don't have the likes
of Ozil?
We are the
most incompetent club when u think we was playing 4-2-31 and we needed a lacazette type
striker to complete the team then we change to 3 -4-3 which ment we needed a welbeck type that's got finishing but instead brought lacazette lol it's a shambles welbeck is are
best CF in a 3 -4-3 it's obvious so unless wenger is gonna go back to 4 -2-3-1 lacazette was a waste
of money for a club that hates spending money
Ozil is one
of Arsenal's kings
of assists and produced hundreds
of «chances», but
most of his assists came from set pieces and
most of his «chances» can not be converted by Lacazette (one
of the
best French
strikers today) and Sanchez.
Yes he's not a big name
most would love to have but he's one
of the
best young
strikers in Europe.
