First of all, if anything I have even more of an appreciation for life and it's simple wonders than
most religious people because I understand how transient this world is.
Later I did stop going to Church but also never joined a gang — moved on from that neighborhood FYI — If this all puzles u, even as an Atheist my morals are as strong and probably stronger than those
of most religious people.
Majority of Atheists don't understand the purpose of religion, while on the other
side most religious people don't understand their religion.
Except, of course, for the
very most religious people (Jesus, John the Baptist, most of the disciples, the pope, priests, nuns, monks, etc.) and then they are praised for «not multiplying».
Its
when most religious people out there claim to have the «truth» about God and believe the only way to him is through a certain sanctioned religion that I get turned off.

most religious persons who pray in their head to their version of God point the finger at atheists and say «You think you are your own God!

for most religious people, including more than 12,000 Christian leaders who have signed the Clergy Letter Project in support of teaching evolution.
Very true, I'm merely trying to say that, that is what
most religious people believe, so if you want to understand religious people, you have to view it through that lens
Even most religious people don't believe most of what the bible says (which, in my opinion, means they're not Christian, but that's a different matter).
You can't «believe in» God because you don't know for sure whether God exist (
by most religious people's own admission, I think, though I coud be wrong, but either way its a fact that the existence of God has not been proven).
Unlike church, which to
most religious people feels like an obligation, we simply advertise that there are places other Atheists can go if they feel they need to find some like company, but it's not held over them if they choose not to... like when somebody in a religious community chooses not to attend church.
Thesis idea 5:
Most religious people think they've discovered the meaning of life, but the effect of this is that they consider anyone who isn't part of their religion beneath them.
The problem
with most religious people is that they feel theirs is the «ONE, true religion»... Catholics, Muslims, Jewish, Protestant, etc..
After adolescence, when one might pray for clearer skin and curlier hair,
most religious people do not expect their lives will be longer or freer of physical vicissitudes because they meditate on the teachings of the prophets or follow the way of the cross.
Most religious people like to identify with one religion or other, and this is a source of pride to them which is fine, but it seems to develop into a superiority complex later and causes friction between them.
Atheist are
the most religious people I've ever met.
I believe that
most religious people are like that.
The most religious people of His time crucified him on the cross because He said «I am» and distroy this temple (his body) and I will rebuild it in 3 days... Corrupted people use anything to advance themselves — religion is one of the best thing to control people that don't think about themselves.
I'm not
the most religious person in the world but I appreciate the good work that many churches do.
Most religious people are the most mean spirited hateful people I know.
I agree with your logic, however, I think in reality,
most religious people are pretending to believe in god / their religion.
«American blacks are, by some measure,» Gallup reports, «
the most religious people in the world.»
The only difference between secularists and
most religious people is that the secular people don't claim Divine sanction for the pursuit of the selfish interests and desires of themselves and those they love at the expense of others.
Most religious people I know are afraid of dying.
