As
most zombie films go, a lot rides on how the movie displays the chaos and destruction, and that is one of the coolest things about this film.
Unlike
most zombie films that either push social reform («Dawn of the Dead» and «28 Days Later») or exploit teenage male hormones («Resident Evil: Apocalypse»), «Shaun of the Dead» is delightfully simple.
Whether set in a sleepy London suburb or a subterranean missile silo,
most zombie films shuffle to life at the unhurried pace of the undead.
