get through daily tasks and take care of the family.
She breastfed her daughter, now four, for two years, and now
supports mothers antenatally and postnatally through telephone calls and attending the city antenatal programme,
supporting newly trained peer supporters to
get involved.
The impact of services being «Baby Friendly» - accredited is that
mothers get consistent advice and
support throughout their pregnancy and in the early months after the birth.
When I think about
mothers who don't have a good
support system or who go into breastfeeding timidly I
get worried.
I'm sharing this as many places as I can to
get this important and encouraging information into the hands of other
mothers who, like me, may not have the
support they need to breastfeed.

SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE which includes a thorough history taking, a full oral assessment of the baby to rule out tongue tie, a detailed plan (short term and long term) for the

But through the love of her family, a meeting with her birthmother
support group and a message from her daughter's adoptive
mother, she was able to
get through it.
Getting outside
support can assist with tackling the more difficult parts of being a
mother.
And yes, all

support without judgement but I'm glad to see its
getting easier for
mothers as they find
support through social media.
