motion photography has
shown that it rears up on its hind legs and moves its legs in a free wheeling manner so quickly, that its feet are not in contact with the water surface long enough to break its surface tension.
The rather strange image you see above
shows one of the game's canine performers — curiously free of
motion capture markers — posing in a
photography studio during the development of the next title in the series.
This signed, dated and numbered print was based on Nancy Graves 1971 drawing, «Photographs of a Jumping Frog at 1/40 Second», influenced by Eadweard Muybridge's
motion photography,
showing the successive movement of a frog leaping.
Her work has also been included in numerous group
shows, including
Motion and Document — Sequence and Time: Eadweard Muybridge and Contemporary American
Photography, which toured the U.S. for two years.
