The vast array of new performance
cars from such a diverse selection of
manufacturers is what makes the Geneva one of the most exciting
motor shows of the year and most relevant to us.
While the show has had a few losses - a handful of
manufacturers have turned their back on the show which takes place at one of
Motor City's gloomiest ever periods - many other
car makers are showing off brand new metal, some of which is pretty desirable stuff.
With pretty much every other
manufacturer of small performance
cars moving to turbocharged petrol engines, it's not hard to see the Clio's naturally aspirated
motor as being the end of an era — it's certainly one of the last hot hatches that enjoys being ragged out to over 7000rpm.
Just like its predecessor, the 108 has been created in partnership with Citroen and Toyota, with those two
manufacturers also planning to reveal their versions of the city
car at the Geneva
Motor Show in March.
