Like something out of
the movie Water World, a new project in Lagos, Nigeria aims to create floating buildings to be used as classrooms for children.
I remember watching
the movie Water World with my dad as a kid and thinking about how I wish I could travel the sea and explore ruins, shanty towns on the water, and look for land that might be undiscovered.
Not exact matches
Nonetheless, with rising sea level and environmental refugeeism compounding the increased demand on
water, food, and land of a growing population (albeit one likely to level out mid 21st century), the combined impacts of climate change and global population increase could potentially yield a
world that doesn't look that different from the one portrayed in the
movie — indeed, as Jim Hansen puts it, «a different planet» — by century's end.
Let's get one thing straight, right off the bat: this is not the incredible gem of a
movie that was DePalma's «Mission: Impossible», but it is also significantly... and I mean, significantly... better than John Woo's abysmal attempt at trying to mix oil and
water (namely, his own style and the»M: I»
movie franchise) that the
world must regretfully refer to as «Mission: Impossible II».
Director Ridley Scott found himself in similar
waters with his latest
movie, «All the Money in the
World,» as sexual assault allegations began to stack up against star Kevin Spacey.
As the titular fish out of
water in the family - friendly sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel - Air, Will Smith was undeniably charming, but his presence didn't exactly scream out «future biggest
movie star in the
world».

Even though The Shape of
Water led the field with 13 nominations and did well with the guilds, it was tough to imagine the fish sex

Jimmy has been in prison for the last several years, and when our
movie opens, it still opens with Eli finding this weapon, but it becomes this family drama, this brother's redemption story as this weapon gets Jimmy and Eli into some hot
water that they did not anticipate, and they end up being on the run and on the road from some really scary dudes, both of our
world and perhaps beyond.
