Shot mostly in shadow to shroud the creature in
mystery (and to de-emphasize any seams in its suit), the film sports a decidedly blue / orange palette
as befitting a
movie about a night - walking demon with a pumpkin for a parent, and its extremes have been dynamically preserved for the first time on video.
For playing man
as she plays machine, and for not disappointing a
movie that builds its
mysteries around her.
Not much of a
mystery,
as the title gives up the supernatural goods, which takes whatever
mystery the screenplay tries to employ and jettisons it in favor of tepid horror
movie formula.

Mystery Men has nothing to offer: it features some nice comic book style production designs of a Gotham - like city that can be described
