Kyle Chayka is the curator of Dying on Stage: New Painting in New York at Garis and Hahn Gallery in New York City, co-curator of Shortest Video Art Ever Sold at Moving Image Art Fair New York 2012, and a freelance writer for publications including the New York Observer, Pacific Standard, and Modern Painters.

The winner of the Hugo Boss Asia Award for emerging artists in 2017, Li Ming (also Hangzhou - based) uses moving images, sound and installation to transform the gallery into a space of potential.

Lisa McCarty is a curator and photographer based in Durham, North Carolina.McCarty has held curatorial positions in archives, libraries, galleries, museums, and private collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum Library, the Peace Corps Archive, George Mason University, The Nasher Museum of Art, Cassilhaus Gallery & Collection, The Center for Documentary Studies and Duke University's Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library, where she is currently curator of the Archive of Documentary Arts.McCarty received a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and exhibits her photographs and moving image work internationally.

During the multimedia performance, images of flying birds were projected onto the white - clothed bodies of the performers while they moved from the museum out into the courtyard space, each holding slats of venetian blind, which, as art historian Kellie Jones notes in South of Pico: African American Artists in Los Angeles in the 1960s and 1970s was the same material found in a sculpture that Nengudi was exhibiting within the gallery.
