I think the culprit might be the constantly -
moving reticle that makes it hard to get a consistent focal point, but I'm not entirely sure.
My gun set to auto, I sprayed forward at the first sight of anything moving, each bullet
moving my reticle higher and higher, as I struggled to maintain control of the kickback.
They however do fix the problem that you can now
move the reticle separately.
Zone hitting, on the other hand, uses face buttons in a similar fashion but the task of the left analog is to
move a reticle, called the plate coverage indicator, to find a sweet spot.

There is an on - screen target

move up or down with the d - pad in the direction you want to throw, and then a flick of the Wii remote shows you the trajectory of your throw.

Playing that way, your head only controls the aiming
reticle, while the right stick controls what direction you face and the left
moves your body independently.

When aiming the Joycons at the screen I had a hard time getting the targeting
reticle to go where I wanted and there was some lag between when I
moved the controller and when the
reticle moved on screen.

moving the targetting
reticle / aiming.
