The lower abs — more specifically the lower belly fat seems to never budge no matter how
much abdominal training we do.

No matter how
much you
train your
abdominal muscles, there is no such thing as spot reduction, so until you create a diet plan that allows you to lower your overall percentage of body fat, your love handles aren't going anywhere.
The reason is that if you have never
trained before and have no muscle on your body as a result is that your abs will not be seen because your
abdominal wall is simply too thin, no matter how
much fat you lose.
One of the biggest mistakes I see trainees making when they are trying to get flat six pack abs is that they waste far too
much of their time in the gym
training just their
abdominals.
As
much as I enjoy general practice because it allows me to see a variety of cases, I would love to pursue
training in imaging (
abdominal ultrasound specifically).
