I've learned so
much about all of this -
attachment, adoption, parenting, faith, love, community - from my blogger friends.
After living through these earliest years with
about as
much attachment style parenting as possible, including baby wearing, extended nursing, family bed, empathic listening, and a nurturing, mindful environment, I've been asked to share some ideas
about thriving, not just surviving, these early years.
The degree to which you use
attachment parenting has to work for your family, but I would highly recommend you find our more
about it, and follow the ideas as
much as is practical.
If you were more educated
about sleep methods and evidence based practices based on
attachment theory and child development you would understand that «sleep training» is
much more than having a kid learn to not vocalize their needs so parents can sleep at all costs.

However, be cautioned that above all,

about an attitude they must have.
I don't understand why
attachment parenting is criticized so
much — it is
about building and nurturing an
attachment.
I have been reading a lot
about attachment parenting pros and cons.I think that the pros are obvious.the cons however are if the parents decide they can not continue with for example co sleepng it is very hard on the child to then have to learn to sleep alone before they are confident enough to do so.for working parents the seperation to a carer is very hard and also helping parents to read the signs properly that their child wants to explore freely when they are used to protecting their little one.these are all things parents need to be aware of when adapting this form of parenting.I like it very
much but I am a professional childcarer with additional childcare knowledge too and though parents always know their own child best risk for example is always an immotive subject to get across to parents that their little one needs to experience risk within of course a safe environment.
This is especially good because, here in Brazil, there is not
much material available in our language specifically
about Attachment Parenting.
I'm not saying that
attachment parenting is the «correct» choice for every family (or even that there is one universally correct way to raise your kids), but I am saying that you should've be afraid of doing it because of your mom's thoroughly disproven ideas
about «spoiling» babies by holding them too
much.
Because Japanese parenting culture is as
much about discipline as it is
about attachment, they practice the same values when it comes to nature.
As
much as I am committed to
attachment parenting, I admit that some part of me does care
about the opinions of others.

Very few doctors seem to specialize in, or know
much at all
about reactive
attachment disorder, so it's been very difficult for my sister.
However, there continues to be
much debate
about the origins of the child's reaction in the Strange Situation, and
about what factors influence the development of an infant's
attachment relationships.
Bowlby's (1944, 1956) ideas had a great influence on the way researchers thought
about attachment, and
much of the discussion of his theory has focused on his belief in monotropy.
When the babies were
about one year old, Mary Ainsworth invented the
much renowned lab procedure called the Strange Situation Protocol to further explore and assess infant
attachment behavior in a «controlled» stressful situation.
For instance my own son showed clear - cut
attachment behavior and strong baby separation anxiety
much earlier and more intensely than the «average» baby (you can read
about my personal experiences here).
When I found the Institute for
Attachment and Child Development, I learned so
much about my boys.
William and Martha Sears emphasize that
attachment parenting doesn't mean that mothers must be anxious
about their baby's every move nor that they have to personally respond to the baby every time, but rather involve Dad as
much as possible.
After living through these earliest years with
about as

about thriving, not just surviving, these early years.
Certainly, there is
much more to be learned
about attachment — both childhood and adult, brain response to relational stress and repair, neuroscience, and the nuts and bolts of the evolution of the mammalian brain in connection to others.
You will gain vital child hours working with toddlers and preschoolers in school - based setting; gain experience that will be foundational for the rest of your clinical career; learn
about early child development, early
attachment, trauma and
much more; receive comprehensive training and supervision (individual & group) in early childhood mental health from clinical supervisor who possesses training, credentials and expertise in this specialty area; earn a $ 2000 stipend upon completing the 12 - month (minimum) internship year.
For anyone craving more information, I highly recommend Mindsight by Dan Siegel, which is a
much denser book
about the science and complexities of adult
attachment issues, how they play out in real life, and what can realistically be done to resolve them.
But most were still focused on the parent - child
attachment and not thinking
much about how
attachment needs play out in adult relationships.
This led to the development of the current psychological theory
about attachment which guides so
much couples work today.
