I only took them for
about three days since I felt so
much more emotionally stable without, so fortunately I didn't see any effect on my
milk supply.
I know when my first boy was a newborn I often worried whether I was feeding him enough / too
much or if my
milk supply was good enough or if he was feeding long enough on both sides (and I stressed
about a million other things too).
After
about 7 months my
milk supply started to back off, then I got really sick and was taking medicine to dry up my sinuses, and that pretty
much dried up my
milk supply.
Now, today if a breastfeeding woman is returning to work full time she has purchased an electric double breast pump, has a variety of bottles and nipples to try, has a schedule worked out of pumping breaks and is worried sick
about keeping up her
supply and not knowing how
much her baby will need during the day of expressed
milk!!
She's already nervous
about how she's going to handle the return to work, leaving her sweet baby in someone else's care, and trying to pump to maintain her
milk supply and provide
milk for her baby while she's gone, but she pushes those thoughts aside and suppresses the anxiety as
much as she can.
Knowing that I'm able to help out other Mamas and babies with
milk is such a wonderful feeling, and I was just
about to research how to up my
milk supply as
much and as fast as possible!
Much has been said
about this herb, which can be found in many teas that specialize in boosting
milk supply.
You can leak breastmilk for a variety of reasons including having a full
supply, or if your body is not yet sure how
much to produce, if your mature
milk is starting to come in, if you've missed a feeding, or even if you are just thinking
about your baby.

For those worried
about not making enough
milk - our bodies will make as
much as baby needs - it works by
supply and demand.
Common problems such as sore or cracked nipples, engorgement, and low
milk supply, and worrying
about whether your babies are getting enough to eat may seem like too
much to cope with when you have two or more hungry mouths to feed.
Your
supply may regulate on its own
about three months after birth, though without treatment it's common to still have too
much milk four to five months after birth.
2) I learn so
much about increasing my
milk supply from the digest.
A 50 g serve of almonds contains as
much calcium as half a glass of
milk and
supplies about 130 per cent of daily vitamin E requirements (more vit E than any other nut).
