On Tuesday, Netflix announced a new parental leave policy that allows

I think the best advice any new
parent can receive is to get

as you can about your choices — no, you don't have to
birth without drugs, but yes, it's great to know what options are available to you.

birth deserves

Birth Without Fear is the first step in the journey of fearlessly

as needed... every hurdle, every challenge, every up and down along the path is more intense and
much sweeter when you are LIVING without fear.
The reality is that where you were born, your family structure, how you were
parented, your cultural norms, social values and roles of authority in your life will have
as much impact, if not more, than your date of
birth.
A
birth parent wants to know —
as much as she possibly can know — that the family she's placing her baby with is a good one.
They're encouraged to tell the child from an early age that they're adopted, and to tell them
as much as possible about their
birth parents, so that the child has positive feelings about their
birth family.
They find that once
parents» socioeconomic status is taken into account, children raised by single mothers are
much better off than children raised by single fathers or fathers and stepmothers, and are just
as likely to succeed
as children raised by both
birth parents.
