Look, I love

as much as any other vegan.
Thinking about this, if nothing else, is a nice reminder about how the act of consuming
food is so
much more than just nourishing ourselves... and one more reason to consider seasonal / local grains and produce
as healthy — for ourselves, for the environment, and for others.
It is by far not the only recipe I have tried at home — I loved every single one of them and my husband, who is not very
much into
healthy food, loved them
as well!
A lot of fast
food options are marketed
as being
healthy, but unless you're the one doing the cooking it's difficult to control how
much sugar or salt (or fat or energy or... you get the picture...) is in that bowl of superfood lentil stew with mixed grains from the
healthy fast
food chain next door to the office.
This means a shift to
healthy eating
as much of today's
food contains chemicals and a laundry list of unpronounceable ingredients.
While, I think it's fine to treat yourself to more indulgent
foods as part of a
healthy lifestyle that includes plenty of exercise, it's still important to make sure those treats are made with better ingredients — whole
foods or unprocessed (or very minimally processed)
foods,
as much as possible.
The reality is that if you're eating plenty of
healthy, nutrient - rich
foods, and following a balanced diet then you're
much less likely to experience unhealthy
food cravings,
as all of your nutritional needs are being met.
Alas, this
food blogging fiend is trying to eat just a wee bit
healthier which means I can not have
as much bacon
as I would like.
While I try to make a conscious effort to eat
healthy (ish)
as much as possible, when the
foods that I normally consider more of a treat are readily available at my fingertips every time I turn around, the 80/20 rule goes right out the window.
Remember Green Thickies are not a low calorie diet, they are a
much healthier way of losing weight by filling the body with nutritious
foods it can use while safely losing weight which should not suddenly return (
as it does with starvation diets.)
So the reality is, the new «
healthy» drinks and
foods sweetened with fruit juice concentrate contain just
as much sugar
as they used to.
I still have a passion and love for
healthy food and recipes, but there's other things I love just
as much like DIYs and (amateur) event planning.

The first baby step that we
as a family has taken to break our old ways, was to drink water with our
food instead of cool drink... Not very nice in the beginning but now we are used to it and it is

food issue... my kids get fast
food about 3 times per week and they still make
healthy food choices, they eat brussel sprouts, asparagus, broccoli and pretty
much any veggies I give them.

The other factor here is that once at the grocery store there is so
much mis - information about

When presented with a wide variety of wholesome
foods and allowed to follow their appetites, almost all
