This is something new to me as most of my inspirations come
at night before bed or in the morning when I am pretty sure my kids don't want dinner for breakfast or
dessert for dinner (well
dessert for dinner I guess they wouldn't mind all to
much - anyway the point is my inspirations tend to come
at the wrong times and I have to wait to embark on them).
We often think that's why parents will pack sugary
desserts in school lunches, probably
much more often than they'd dole out sugary treats
at home.
It doesn't take
much time
at all, and outside of the crust taking a quick trip to the oven, it's basically a no - bake
dessert.
Speaking of
dessert, since I'm not
much of a baker, I'll leave that category to people like Sally who are
much better
at it than I am.
I didn't like avocados
at the time (seriously), and as
much as I like sweet & salty combos when it comes to
desserts, I've never really been a fan of fruit & savory combos.
Being vegan does mean it's pretty
much impossible to buy
dessert out (in Oxford
at least) and I've been pretty pushed for time recently with studying and exams sadly leaving me limited opportunity for kitchen fun.
These will include holiday extravaganzas, Signature Degustation Menus and participation in programs such as the Late Night
Dessert Party with SOBEWFF, Tapas Event with Jose Andres, Backyard Nights
at The Aqua Pool Club of The National, Miami Spice, French Week and
much more.

There is so
much candy and birthday cake
at work, that even without making
dessert we end up eating too
much sweets.
It looks stunning — I have definitely gone through the shudder
at 70s trifles to appreciating how good they can be but I did not have a piece of my mum's trifle this christmas because when faced with lots of
desserts I was not so interested — but yours does look festive and delicious — I would probably have to have a serve thank you very
much!
My days of ordering
dessert at restaurants are long over for a multitude of reasons, but thanks to you I can enjoy
desserts at home that are as delicious as any I remember from my restaurant days — and so
much healthier and vegan to boot!
Our recent solution to satisfying
dessert cravings has been the cookie bar
at the new Whole Foods... however this looks
MUCH more promising.
I actually really do not like using the full pan because I find I make just too
much dessert at a time.
It's kind of the perfect
dessert in that regard: you just can't eat too
much at once.
This one goes out to everyone who doesn't like cream cheese frosting (guilty) and prefers cake
at breakfast instead of
dessert, no matter how
much sugar it has (guilty again).
Partially because
at this time of the summer a mere bite of
dessert can seem too
much with the heat, as well as I think they are cute.

So all these new energy balls and vegan, gluten free, healthy (or healthier) snacks including my Coco fudge are
much better options, far more nutritious than
desserts and less naughty, but none of them can be had in excess just because they're championed as health foods, just because they're sold
at healthy cafes and just because they contain nuts and seeds and all things good.
Chriselle is a blogger (she blogs over
at The Chriselle Factor) and her wedding was every inch feminine, full of flowers, delicate
desserts, blushes, peaches, lace + gold accents — very
much her style.
I enjoy

much, but this time, there hasn't really been

I don't really think any party is complete without a cake (or
