Maybe it is not too
much bible study that is the problem but too many lectures that, as the saying is.

you can ask questions all you want, test it as
much as you like but only you can decide to believe.I have
studied hell, read my books about, went to different websites and searched the
bible, for a Christian to fear hell is not possible.For one Christ himself said he is the only way to the father.So I think the fear of hell comes from guilt or their power freaks.
You have obviously spent WAY too
much time
studying the
bible.
God is the author of the
bible and I find it
much harder to take things out of context if we read and
study a book line by line and chapter by chapter.
There are Christians who don't read and
study the
bible much.
Men wrote the
bible, and whereas there is
much in it to be interestingly
studied and to gain comfort from, it is not in of itself, God.
Ironically though, these same people who spend some
much time
studying the literal interpretations of the
bible are the first to ignore its glaring inconsistencies and most only focus on the final 1611 compilation ignoring the inconvenient texts that were left out.
I found it interesting that Brigitte decided to totally sidestep my point of there being so many differences of sincere and well
studied opinions on the meaning of so
much of the
bible.
I have been a late bloomer but have learned so
much through a
bible study I attend and the wonderful non-denominational church I attend.
