Admittedly, this is not a pizza
in the truest sense of the word, but if you'd like pizza flavors with a «crust» that's gluten - free, low - glycemic, and low -
carb, this is an idea you may end up liking just as
much as I did!
I am not
much of a cook and get
in ruts where I make the same foods all the time until I can find healthy recipes that are low sugar and low
carb with high protein.
They taste great and are so
much lower
in carbs than regular rice vermicelli noodles.
I did notice that it seemed like most options were heavily marketing themselves as vegan or paleo but there didn't see to be
much variety if you wanted something low
in sugar or
carbs.
My Paleo diet is low
carb because I don't eat the starchy veggies and high sugar fruits that really don't have that
much fiber
in them to be as healthy as the regular, non-starchy veggies are.
And try not to think about the
carbs — we don't need that kind of negativity
in our lives when there's so
much good on the plate!
Smoothies are probably my favorite easy breakfast because you can get so
much in there, including
carbs, protein, and healthy fat
and on top of that so
much easier to make AND higher
in protein and lower
in carbs!
The little pizzas are perfect for me since I try to eat low
carb and good for children's lunch boxes since they only take a few minutes to make and they don't take up too
much room
in their lunch boxes.
With the exception of starchy root vegetables, pretty
much all vegetables are low
in carbs.
Fruits are
much higher
in carbs than low -
carb veggies but lower
in carbs than foods like bread or pasta.

Some
carbs create
much greater fluctuations
in blood sugar levels than others.
Except it is
much healthier and lower
in carbs and calories (1 cup of white rice = approx. 200 calories vs. 1 cup of cauliflower «rice» = approx. 35 calories).
The flavour of the chickpeas
in combination with cumin it's a great side dish and
much healthier and lower
in carbs than regular flatbread.
We don't often think of soup so
much in Summer but this low -

much butter (I often use sunflower oil
in cakes instead).

Cauliflower is low

carbs because of the fiber it contains, that's why you'll see it featured
in many different recipes on pretty
much all of the low
carb blogs out there.
A big part of that 11g comes from the naturally occurring sugar
in lactose — my big indicator is how
much is added and how
much of the total
carbs are from sugar - For flavored yogurts Siggi's is probably one of the better brands out there

I've just gone paleo, like, two weeks ago (after a brief transitional period of trying low

much in the reading - up - phase, and more or less re-learning to cook without trying to focus on «substituting», but more on using what I've got and what I know will be good for me.
I started a very low
carb diet (VLCD)
in 2014 and found that I functioned
much better mentally and had a brighter outlook on things overall.
But even though I now would greatly prefer this new recipe for Low -
Carb Chicken and Asparagus Bake with Creamy Cheesy Curry Sauce, I remember how
much I liked the old version back
in the day.
