Arsenal fans are already well aware
of how important the Chilean international star is to Arsenal and any
chance we have
of winning a trophy and more importantly the
title of Premier League champions, as we have seen how
much the Gunners suffer when the fantastic forward is out
of action or struggling for form.
This might not mean too
much to you and there is definitely a case for saying that stats do not
win titles, but I think these are quite telling as Arsenal have often been accused
of being wasteful with our
chances so if that has changed it is a huge plus point.
A positive and optimistic view
of Arsenal, the current campaign and the
chances of Arsenal
winning the Premier League
title in next season might not carry as
much weight when it comes from one
of players in the Arsenal squad, but the reason suggested by Per Mertesacker for the struggles
of the Gunners this season is the same one suggested earlier this week by the West Brom boss Tony Pulis, our awful injury record.
Next week's match away to West Ham is a massive one and could be pivotal in the course

much about

much as I've tried to think that Arsenal are still in with a shout
of the
title, despite the good
wins over Everton and Watford, the
chances were pretty slim before Arsenal managed to be in control
of the match against West Ham on Saturday before throwing it away but subsequently salvaging a point.
