In the
much of the fifty years of Santa Clara Aquamaids» existence, head coach Chris Carver has consistently demonstrated her Olympic medal winning
choreography skills.
Just thinking about how
much coordinating and the
choreography to do this... wow, just wow.
I remember how
much I enjoyed performing
choreographies and dressing up for events.
While the
choreography is generally fairly minimal (at least for this sort of mega-production), first time film director Phyllida Lloyd (who helmed the original stage version) has woven together a tightly edited and exceedingly well shot film that capitalizes on the music wonderfully while never worrying too
much about such nettlesome items as character or motivation, providing enough other movement that one ultimately doesn't miss huge dance numbers a la Robbins or Fosse that
much in the long run.
The directors seem to have lavished so
much energy on the
choreography of the sex scenes that they have nothing left for verbal expression.
Still, if you're expecting Black Widow - style fight
choreography for Johansson, think again: After a few early gun battles and mano - à - mano moments, she pretty
much Obi - Wans her enemies into submission.
The
choreography, cinematography, direction, and performances of this film really added some nice flare to this film, but at the same time, it had a huge flaw that dragged me too
much that I actually have difficulties seeing this movie and it has to do with the story.
Of course, there is plenty of Hong Kong fighting action that Jackie Chan is famous for, and in this sequel, the fight
choreography and pacing seemed to work
much better than in the original.
Brief moments of interesting camera work and fight
choreography tease us with the idea that this could have been
much more kinetic and memorable.
There is also some great fight
choreography on - hand throughout the movie, especially during the escape and final showdown, granted
much of it looks like a video game, but the character animation is all motion - captured, and Liebesman stages these sequence well.

much of a geek you are for the really technical stuff, like fight

Considering the incoherent shambles he made out of his James Bond movie, «Quantum of Solace,» Forster handles the large - scale action here with considerable aplomb and
much striking imagery, enhanced by the seamless mix of
choreography, prosthetics and CG that bring the herking, jerking zombies to «life.»
Alas, the
choreography is so choppy that it's difficult to tell kaiju from jaegers,
much less being able to differentiate the multiple varieties of kaijus and jaegers.

Showgirls (1995) This
much - reviled film got new life as a midnight movie in 1996: Audience
choreography and mimicry of the camp dialogue ensued.
The Raid 2 is a recent example of the incredible stunt
choreography that can make a mediocre plotline that
much more amazing to sit through, and it's a shame that The Protector 2 falls back into such familiar «new school» action territory.
Cable's plays the straight man and the token over-the-top badass in equal measure, and spends his fight
choreography oozing well - designed coolness, even if he does sometimes feel like he wandered out of a
much more down - to - Earth movie every now and again.
