These Chocolate Coconut Almond Cups are a paleo version of Almond Joy - with just as
much coconut flavor and rich chocolate but without all of the artificial junk!
I tried it once as is and it was great but a bit too
much coconut flavor so I used ghee instead of coconut oil and that really helped.
I now have more of a stew without so
much coconut flavor.
just wouldnt have quite as
much coconut flavor.
If you use the carton and make sure it's unsweetened it doesn't have
that much coconut flavor overpowering things.

The cupcakes themselves are so light and fluffy and both the cupcake and the frosting have so
much coconut flavor.
For what it's worth, unlike unrefined coconut oil, refined coconut oil won't impart
much coconut flavor at all.

I sprinkled some
coconut shreds on top which definitely brought the
flavor up a little, but other than that I added just a little more baking powder cause my first batch didn't rise as
much as I had wanted it to.
If you use refined
coconut oil, then in my experience the berry
flavor really does shine through, despite the fact that there's twice as
much oil as berries in the recipe.
The filling is studded with toasted pecans and toasted
coconut; the toasting takes mere minutes but adds so
much in terms of
flavor and texture.
Many with Alzheimer's lose their appetite and won't eat, so if they prefer the
flavor of
coconuts over peanut or almond butter, then maybe they will get some
much needed fat into their systems if they eat the
coconut oil while they are refusing the nut butters.
Prior to ordering the
Coconut Almond
flavor I had ordered the Vanilla Chai
flavor from Bodybuilding.com and had gotten a
much larger contain with 30 servings.
And although I don't like to
much of a strong
coconut flavor I think I will try these out.
We don't do
much deep frying — but for latkes I've been using expeller pressed
coconut oil — it's great for those that don't like the
coconut flavor.
If it wouldn't affect the texture too
much, it might bump up the
coconut flavor a bit?
The
flavor of unsweetened
coconut is good, but the texture is sooo
much better when you give it a little toast!
None of us like the
coconut flavor / smell very
much, so it makes it simpler to just get expeller - pressed in bulk.
Their skyr for some reason doesn't cause the stomach issues for me that I discovered too
much dairy can do, and the plain
flavor is the best around, as are the mixed berries and the pumpkin and
coconut!
The chai spices combined beautifully with the banana, and the shredded
coconut, while it didn't impact the
flavor much, added a soft crunch without detracting from the fluffy, moist texture.

much as I aspire to love stevia, I haven't been able to get on board with it at all — its
flavor is the only thing I can taste when I add it to absolutely anything, so
coconut sugar has been my # 1 powdered natural sweetener choice for years.

The chocolate (the darker, the better) masks
much of the
coconut flavor, so if you're not crazy about
coconut we think you'll still be crazy about

coconut flavor to it, so if that doesn't appeal to you, you may not like this as

Whipped
coconut milk is creamy, rich and thick,
much like traditional whipped cream and the
coconut flavor is very faintly there.
I don't tend to use
coconut flour as
much simply because I am not as fond of the
flavor and texture but will use it occasionally.
Vegetarian Thai red curry is easy to make, full of delicious creamy
coconut and spicy
flavors but so
much better, and no doubt better for you, than any takeout.
You can make this kosher easily by substituting chicken fat or
coconut oil for the butter, but if you go with
coconut oil, I'd go with one that doesn't have
much of a
coconut flavor or odor.
Took a bit longer than expected but came out well... it's almost thai
flavored w / the
coconut / lime combo, so I'd swap in thai basil next time and a bit more cashews or maybe walnuts for a bit more crunch (the cashews absorbed too
much liquid and got soggy).

much sweet
coconut and lose the authentic blend of sweet and sour.

Tender and perfectly sweet from the raw sugar and the raisins with a pronounced but not overpowering
coconut flavor: I hope you enjoy them as
much as I did.

coconut, it has a somewhat
coconut - y
flavor, which makes adding less sugar to your baked goods
much easier less of an issue, if you're battling a sweet tooth.

coconut flour will retain a slight
coconut taste - but for the most part you can't taste the
coconut flavor too

coconut butter — one friend admitted to stashing the jar in a random place in the kitchen cabinets so she could keep it exclusively for herself — I keep thinking of a 2.0 version — toasted
coconut butter to add depth of
flavor and brilliant caramel color.
In fact, I prefer homemade
coconut milk from shredded
coconut over fresh because the
coconut flavor of shredded
coconut is
much more mellow.
Be aware that the
flavor of homemade
coconut milk is
much more pronounced compared to the
coconut milk from the store.
There are other crafty switches you can make too, the apple juice gives it a light sweet
flavor, but it can be swapped for
coconut milk or almond milk for a
much creamier and deeper complexity and consistency.
The
flavor may vary from a strong
coconut scent and sharp
flavor, to a
much more mild
flavor.
As
much as I love, love, love
coconut oil (and ghee and lard for non-vegan meals), and will certainly continue to use it, some dishes simply work better with the
flavor of olive oil.
