There wouldn't be any need to add some coconut essence as the coconut oil does» t add that
much coconut flavour - that comes from the filling, but I'm sure it would be a nice addition anyway!

flavours by adding some freshly squeezed orange juice and virgin
coconut oil, so even the most weary reader will enjoy it too!
The
coconut flavour is usually very subtle if it's incorporated into the baking mixture, whereas if you use the oil to fry something (like yummy blueberry pancakes) you get a
much more intense
coconut flavour, which I personally love!
My frozen
coconut yoghurt recipe is high in fat, giving it a creamy texture and
much fuller
flavour!
Of course
coconut adds a different
flavour and it might compete with the mint and give you a
coconut - mint
flavour — if you don't like this combination as
much, I would replace the mint extract with vanilla extract and have something that is more of a
coconut patty!
I highly recommend using the lite version of
coconut milk as full fat producdes a
much creamier and bland
flavour.
It didn't make a huge difference but without the slight
coconut flavour, it tasted
much more like an apple crumble cake.
I love that you use
coconut sugar, which must add so
much caramel
flavour (without the work of having to make a caramel!).
It gives it such a rich creamy
flavour and texture and make a
much creamier smoothie than simply adding the dried
coconut to your smoothie which can be a bit gritty depending on your blender.

flavour as well:)
I've tried using
coconut cream in this recipe but found it mellowed out the
flavours way too
much, however, if creamy and mild is your thing then give it a go.
Canned
coconut milk doesn't have a strong
flavour to it anyway, but as soon as it's mixed with that
much dark chocolate, it loses any hint it may have.
Add some salt and lemon juice to enhance the
flavours Now you can add: — Nuts (almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, brazil nuts...)-- Seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, chia...)-- Spices (cinnamon, ginger, vanilla...)-- Dried fruits (goji, currants, cranberries, raisins,
coconut...) It is actually
much simpler than you think, and fast as well.
