much coconut oil on hand.

Every night I use a small amount of
coconut oil on my face as a moisturizer and I always wake up looking so
much fresher than I ever used to.
As
much as I love to eat seasonally, there are definitely some staples that I have
on hand no matter what time of year: whole sesame tahini, avocados, broccoli, spinach, chia seeds,
coconut oil, lemons, sweet potatoes, fresh herbs.
I mean... I know how
much we looooove our
coconut oil, but FLOUR?!! I think I might have tried a few tablespoons of it
on its own.
Other than that, we do nt use a lot of
oil (except myself, who drinks
coconut oil) I was concerned as I couldn't find

I've used straight
coconut oil as a moisturizer before, but found it very greasy and messy — this recipe makes it
much more pleasant to put
on, and it seems to absorb better into my skin this way.
My only recommendation is that you stick the bowl in the refrigerator for 15 minutes after you cut in the
coconut oil to make sure it doesn't soften too
much and lose its air bubbles while it's sitting
on the counter.
I can use
coconut oil internally which hasn't seemed to help
much, but when putting it
on my skin, my skin doesn't like it very
much.
Part of it I believe is just my body having trouble digesting that
much at once — the other part may be
coconut oil's effect
on the thyroid.
