I was already tired because I had been up nursing during the night, Brian was off at work already, I simply wanted a quiet
morning with my
coffee because there was so
much mundane work ahead on this day — cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry — but instead the Rice Krispies multiplied to biblical proportions while they flew through the air and one small cereal bowl became a nuclear wasteland scattered into seemingly every corner of the kitchen while milk streamed off the edge of the table puddling into the carnage and the bowl continued to spin.

morning and tried to drink as
much water as possible.
For example, people at work who see me add cashew milk in my

Awareness:
Coffee is a diuretic, and I'd go out on a limb and say that half of its merry
morning drinkers are relying on it as
much for intestinal as mental stimulation.
I can't say I noticed any change in my productivity, but the biggest bonus was that it's
much easier to prepare in the
morning than
coffee (yay for not missing the bus anymore).
Most of the «sugar» in your blood glucose doesn't come from adding too
much sugar to your

Just think about going to the vending machine at work every day, or Starbucks for your
morning coffee and muffin, or the nearby fast food restaurant for a hold - me - over when the mid-day slump hits — how

Lets face it, many people are addicted to their

coffee to get them up but in reality, if you don't need as
much time in the
morning, say you can push your schedule back a little bit and try to wake up closer to 7AM or closer to the actual sun up time, if you're getting up before the sun and you can change that to — to getting up at sunrise, you're basically — I'm gonna use my analogy that I mentioned to you — if you're getting up at 4AM to get ready for work, you're only going halfway up the hill on your favorite rollercoaster before you start going back down the hill.
It adds so
much flavor to my cooking and I love using it every

I've enjoyed the Hazelnut flavor in my
coffee so
much that I decided to incorporate it into a recipe for another
morning staple: pancakes.
As for
mornings - I'm a mix of both... depending on how
much I slept and how quickly the
coffee gets made.
In yesterday's post (

much of a difference a slow start can make to me to kick off my day right.
I only do this on days when I'm working from a
coffee shop, but my
morning goes so
much more smoothly if I've already gathered up all the things I need and put them in my bag.
