Hey Catherine, yes it's partly a starch thing but also they will
cook so
much faster on their own without having to boil the soup
for as long.
I think it might go a little soggy, what you could do though is
cook the mushrooms, squash and pine nuts / pumpkin seeds and keep them all in separate containers
for the week and then throw them together each day that way it would stay
much fresher!

Yes almond would be great, I haven't

much with coconut flour so can't say

The blend of spices worked so well I was feeling lazy after a busy day so used
