much description of his character, Kip Withers, other than to say he'll buddy up to Margo Martindale's Carol Miller — ultimately annoying Carol's son Nathan, played by Will Arnett.

much easier than having to go through a third party.
The best way an author can exert creative control is by choosing a designer wisely and then offering as
much supporting information as possible (for instance, similar book covers they like in the genre,
character descriptions and synopsis, back cover copy, anticipated market, etc.) Finally, if a cover designer is allowed to use their skill and imagination freely, and then the client gives clear direction on revisions, the end result is almost always something both the designer and the author can be proud
of.
Kay writes a new, and vibrant blend
of fantasy and romance, which I probably will be checking out, since the
description makes it sound like her first book is just as
much about the
character and the story as it is about the romance part
of it.

character and lengthened story, it's also an accurate
description of the way play sessions can last
much longer than expected — joyfully so.
