There wasn't
much differentiation between
asset classes, sectors, industries or
exposure types — everything was a shade of red, including
assets — like duration — that are meant
to be diversifiers.
In other words, there could be sector imbalances so for investors looking
to have
exposure across different sectors and
asset classes, this screen could potentially serve as a starting point for further research or one small piece
to a
much larger picture.
There isn't
much one can do if this happens, except
to have
exposure beforehand
to asset classes that benefit when inflation increases (real estate and tangible / commodity - based mutual funds, like the precious metals and energy sectors).
