All the extra
fiber didn't
do me
much good.
Because chia seeds are so full of
fiber, you don't need to eat very
much of them to take a big chunk out of your daily requirement.
Although pineapple has some
fiber, the amount of pineapple in each serving doesn't come to
much, and there's no
fiber at all in the chicken.
My Paleo diet is low carb because I don't eat the starchy veggies and high sugar fruits that really don't have that
much fiber in them to be as healthy as the regular, non-starchy veggies are.
If you'd like to lose weight, but don't want to starve yourself, add some
fiber - filled foods to your meals and you'll find weight loss so
much easier.
Note that the dates
do have a lot of sugar, but they have a lot of
fiber and phytonutrients, too, which makes them a
much better option than sugar (and they add a rich flavor).
