Unfortunately, many
cages that you will find at the pet store do not meet all these requirements when it comes to dwarf
hamsters or Chinese
hamsters since they are
much smaller than their larger Syrian
hamster cousins.
Try and take your
hamster out for exercise as
much as possible, and save your money for a larger
cage.

hamster.
I would like to switch to a wire
cage for my little robo Petal, but to be honest, most of the
cages pictured here appear to have too
much space between the wire for a dwarf
hamster.
After doing
much research online I was originally going to go for a dwarf
hamster cage by OVO.
It's
much harder to find a
hamster once it escapes your room or house, so make sure you shut all the doors and windows in the room that the
hamster cage is in.
An aquarium gives a
hamster a good view of the world around it, but it doesn't offer as
much air circulation or ventilation as a wire
cage.
If your presence is too
much for you
hamster to come running, place a
cage on the floor, a comfy box with some of its soft
hamster bedding or entice it with some of its favorite treats.
Because gerbils are desert animals and produce
much less urine than other pets, a litter box is not needed or practical for them, but
