It was a joyful event, exactly as Maeve would have wanted — and I wish the future users of the Maeve Binchy Library as
much happiness among the books as Maeve herself had at the School.

It's that broad allure that has built an almost cult - like devotion
among consumers who normally don't have
much in common: from urban hipsters to suburban moms, from preteens to boomers, all united in their common desire for comfortable, flattering clothes — not to mention peace and
happiness.
In many of those countries which are comparatively poor, but the
happiness level is high, Bhutan is one of them, Sweden, Bangladesh, even Nepal who has been facing so
much problems and poverty, the many countries in the world, also in south Asia, where the
happiness level is high, I think the social fabrics, connectivity
among the people, brings them more sense of security, more sense of cooperation, and eventually leads to the level of
happiness.
But even though these might show huge amounts of detail about exams, they will not reveal
much about the levels of
happiness among pupils.
And as
much as our founding fathers believed in fostering an educated and deliberative polity, they also believed in,
among other things, the pursuit of
happiness.
In this they seem to have fallen upon a very good expedient for their own
happiness and safety; for since the good or ill condition of a nation depends so
much upon their magistrates, they could not have made a better choice than by pitching on men whom no advantages can bias; for wealth is of no use to them, since they must so soon go back to their own country; and they being strangers
among them, are not engaged in any of their heats or animosities; and it is certain that when public judicatories are swayed, either by avarice or partial affections, there must follow a dissolution of justice, the chief sinew of society.
