much less cholesterol to lodge in the arteries and we should see a lower risk of heart disease over the long term.

Not only does feeding their cattle grass reduce costs by being
much cheaper than importing grain from the mainland, but the resulting beef contains
less fat,

cholesterol than red meat, but
much less saturated fat.
We know that (1) hunter gatherers eat
much less palmitic acid than many modern day «paleo dieters» and (2) they tend to have low, rather than high LDL

cholesterol but there is a small dense LDL that is not accepted by the liver for servicing but rejected and ends up in your arteries as plaque... and this is what needs to be included in a Lipid panel because this diet pre-diet shows a lipid panel that is not to bad but when you look at the SDLDL it is at 20 which is very high, and when on this diet for 6 or more weeks your lipid panel is higher but the SDLDL is 0 Zero... so your doctor flips out and yells at you but in fact you are
much less prone to heart failure...
A better solution — and, happily, a
much less invasive one — is drug therapy to reduce blood
cholesterol (and therefore plaque), to thin the blood (improving flow), and, in some cases, to limit the pace of the heart (easing its burden).
