I would
much rather have a more
meaningful discussion with a small group of people.
It's hard to be engaged in the
discussion and / or make
meaningful remarks with that
much uncertainty that they will get posted.
The climate scientists that worry about these issues don't post here (
much - Jeff made a single post) so you aren't really going to see a
meaningful discussion on the role of chaos or stochastic processes on climates, how that is handled in model building, and what that means in terms of model verification.
What bothered me most about the whole Proposition 23 media efforts was the lack of any
meaningful dialogue on the uncertainties around the technologies needed (and how
much they the will cost - as it's important from an opportunity costs
discussion) to meet the stated goals and what it means if the rest of the country doesn't follow a similar approach to addressing CO2 loads.
