mind as those that shock home cooks the first time they make them: mashed potatoes, for how
much cream and butter is used, and granola, which also has a surprising amount of fat and
much more sugar than expected in a healthful snack or breakfast.
Keep in
mind, if you use ghee, which is clarified butter, the
recipe is no longer vegan, but still
much better for you than regular cream cheese.
If, like someone else who posted, you don't like blue cheese (who doesn't like a good roquefort, I don't know, but I digress...), you can always substitute a quality, flavorful cheese (keep in
mind that the
recipe will get
much of it's flavor from the cheese).
I am not
much of a baker, but when I find a great
recipe and put my
mind to it I almost always end up with a great result.
This

recipe itself, except I added the step where the juice gets squeezed out of the pineapple, which in turn pretty
much eliminated the need for letting the cheese mixture stand overnight before shaping it into a pineapple, as the original
recipe would have you do.
I already subscribe to your meal plans and but since we've gone grain - free recently I haven't been able to use your
recipes as
much - and was thinking of asking you to offer more grain free options - you must've read my
mind!
We're
much more likely to enjoy a
recipe (and make it again) if we eat it with an open
mind... rather than thinking «Well, this was
much better when I made it with a whole stick of butter.»
This pumpkin
