Another thing we've really noticed about not having upper cabinets in that area is the impression of
much more counter space when you are preparing a meal!
Plus, I have so
much more counter space, now.

It's of course always nice to have a larger one but it also takes up
more space on the kitchen
counter and we have already squeezed too
much in so we don't regret it.
His absence should allow our forward players
much more space going forward, and with Yaya Toure and Fernando likely to operate at the base of the midfield, we should be able to get them on the backfoot when
countering.
Possession football is still obviously our main goal, but we've been looking deadly on the

more willing to cross and loft balls into

Removing most of the upper cabinets made it feel like I doubled my usable
counter space — I find it is
much more enjoyable to work at a
counter without a cabinet overhead.
We probably have about 55 square feet of floor
space left over, so we did use as
much of the floor
space for storage as we could:) I will share specific room dimensions in a future post, I know photos can sometimes make rooms look larger at times (we were propping our camera up on
counters at times so you could see
more fully!).
That gave us a great breakfast bar on the dining room side and so
much more continuous
counter space in the kitchen.

counter space has made a huge difference when I cook, and I have so

much more convenient and a nice little
space for decorative items without cluttering the usable
counter space!
Instead of a massive renovation, Casey suggested replacing the dark granite
counters with a
much lighter white marble as well as adding lighter subway tiles to the backsplash, which resulted in a brighter,
more inviting
space for the family to come together and the homeowners to entertain.
Not
much bigger but
more strange and
counter space yippee!
