The 488 has more power, while the Performante felt bether in fast curves,
much more downforce also.

According to IndyCar the new bodywork generates a whopping 66 per cent of its
downforce from underneath the car (19 percent up on the current cars) and following distances have been cut in half, which should lead to
much closer racing and
more passing opportunities.
This not only helped produce a load
more downforce but did so without creating too
much drag.
The headlines are that's it's considerably smaller (50 mm shorter, 60 mm lower, 20 mm narrower and with a 20 mm shorter wheelbase), 70 kg lighter at 1525 kg (dry), produces
more downforce and has a
much lower centre - of - gravity.
MINI claims the aero qualities of the car are improved, too, but makes no specific claims about
downforce, so take it as read that there is a little bit less lift than before, but not
much more than that.

much downforce as the regular 911 GT3 at 124 mph.
