You can replace the oat flour with brown
rice flour, sorghum flour, almond flour or more
protein powder (approximately 3 - 5 extra scoopfuls worth, or however
much until you reach that fudgy cookie dough texture).
Kara - I don't know too
much about the differences of isolate and concentrate for
rice protein, but I do know that there is a difference in whey... in this recipe I would recommend Jarrow
rice protein.
Quinoa is great to add to pretty
much any soup you would add
rice or pasta too, it bulks it up and if your daughter is vegetarian it will give her the
protein boost.
However, certain brands of
rice protein have tested high for heavy metals like arsenic, which has made
rice protein the source of
much debate as well.
I just used pea
protein for the first time the other day and it absorbs WAY more liquid than brown
rice protein powder... so I'd be careful not to add too
much.
In place of whey
protein isolate, Bean, you can use
rice protein isolate or pea
protein isolate, but you will have to increase the water to 150 % of what is in the recipe as written, and you will have a
much more moist dough.
Using brown
rice penne which is not only gluten - free but high in
protein and
much more healthy than ordinary wheat pasta.

You may not think

protein found in
rice — or even knew it contained any — but it's actually quite viable.
How I discovered that I felt
much better without the animal
protein / white -
rice combination was by chance, i.e. when I went through an elimination process by switching first to a traditional vegan diet, followed by Plant based whole food when I discovered this website 5 - 6 months ago.
We are
much better off obtaining our
protein from plant based foods such as whole or fermented soy, quinoa, beans and lentils, whole grains such as brown
rice and cous cous, and green leafy vegetables.
Too
much protein powder and air pockets will not form, essentially leaving you with a solid brick of egg or
rice.
All the other dietary advice is pretty
much what I recommend to all my readers, regular meals throughout the day that contain a high source of organic
protein, healthy fats, a small amount of unrefined carbs (sweet potato, brown
rice, quinoa, buckwheat, oats), plenty of fresh fruit and veg and little - zero added sugar.

protein than brown
rice but it depends how
much of them you eat, and what else you eat, Every 100 grams of dry oats contains about 13 grams of
protein (whereas brown
rice has about 8 grams).
People who get
much of their
protein from grains such as wheat,
rice and corn may lack adequate supplies of tryptophan unless they also eat legumes, which provide the missing amino acid in adequate amounts, Kummerow said.
The wheat

Sorry; I don't mean to be a pain or take up too
much of your time, but a few other people on this thread asked what you recommend for
protein shakes besides whey, soy or
rice and if you answered, I can't seem to find it.
Active dogs are the ones who are most likely to benefit from eating brown
rice regularly — quality brown
rice is a great way to add complex carbohydrates and small quantities of
protein into your dog's diet without giving them too
much fat.
It is troubling that ingredients like pea
protein and
rice bran are listed so high on the ingredients list — it leads one to question how
much of the
protein content of this formula actually comes from meat.
