I usually don't follow
much of a ratio: I pour flour (s) in a big bowl, add whatever liquid I have around (non dairy milk, water, cold broth, maybe a little bit apple cider, or some beer too, which gives lightness to the crêpes), some flax gel (1 Tbsp ground flax seeds + 3 TBSP warm water), some
salt or maybe a little sugar, sometimes spices like curcuma and black pepper, or tandoori spice powder etc, stir until the consistency pleases me, adding more liquid if necessary, let it sit for a few hours
on my counter, and voilà.
Thanks for the feedback it's really useful, I tend to go easy
on the
salt for health reasons but I think I'll amend the recipe amount to half to one teaspoon so people can choose how
much to use.
Sprinkle the seasoning blend and the sea
salt over the chickpeas, stir to coat evenly, then spread evenly
on the two baking sheets, spreading the chickpeas as

At first I was a little concerned at how

I don't care for
salt on my margarita thank - you - very -
much, but sometimes I do like sugar.
It's amazing how
much confusion / ignorance there is out there
on this fact — I recently attended a local hospital sponsored Cardio - Rehab training where one session
on correcting diet issues was led by the hospital dietitian — during her discussion
on reducing
salt in our diet, I mentioned the density issue, and used kosher vs table
salt as an example.
And depending
on how
much salt you had in the cooking rice, will also determine how
much salt you will need in these burgers.
MUST agree with previous comments that there was too
much salt, even without putting
salt on top as suggested in the recipe.
The ratio of
salt to water seems extremely high, but don't worry, you won't be eating all of that
salt, the water just needs to be that salty for the seeds to take
on as
much flavour as possible.
Basically, you put some oil in the bottom of a cold pan to just coat it, take fresh or frozen chicken tenders and put them in, sprinkle
salt and spices
on, sprinkle pretty
much any type of flour over the chicken, turn over and repeat.

on chicken stock: Most stock powders are very high in

much else so look for a ready to use liquid variety with as little additives as possible, and preferably low
