There is too
much time spent trying to setup characters that don't need it, which
leaves little time to focus on an exciting and thrilling
story.
Shrek the Third continues its assault on the
stories that have been passed down for generations, but there doesn't seem to be
much new ground
left to break.
I did enjoy the film to a point I would hardly call it ground breaking though its two or three other films put together but it is done well.The problem I have with the film is the end

leaving most of what made sense on the cutting room floor.
The series really belongs to Simmons, so
much so that unfortunately when the
story leaves his behind things can get a little too slow.
As said, the acting is superb, especially Ruffalo and Dern, but Krause's character gets
left behind big time, and the kids that are treasured so
much by the characters as well as the
story in general get next to no development, which isn't good when you consider the film's emotionally heavy climax.
A pretty neat telling of the
story, good acting, but I felt the way it was paced
left much to be desired.
Still, the movie's central
story did not provide
much for character development even with a 2.5 hour run time and, the end of the movie will
leave most people disappointed compared to previous installments.
While the gameplay is absolutely top notch, the
story leaves much to be desired and is chock - full of MacGuffins.
Leaving aside the
story, the gameplay is pretty
much what you expect from a Warriors game.
Great drama it isn't, but the «Star Wars» trilogy - like folk
stories - has a mythological timelessness and universal appeal that doesn't
leave much room for aesthetic objections.
It doesn't change the fact that you're still
left to wonder how
much of what Finkel wrote actually happened, but it's Goold's examination of truth and deception that makes «True
Story» a good if unspectacular true crime drama.
